Celebrating the arrival of spring with a flower festival

Ashikaga Flower Park is well known for its nighttime lights and flower viewing during winter for the wisteria that blooms over a wide area from late April to mid-May. It also holds the Spring Flower Festival showcasing tens of thousands of tulips and cherry blossoms in full bloom.

Don't Miss

  • The overall natural beauty of the park
  • Over 20,000 tulips and other flowers

How to Get There

You can access the park via public transportation.

From Tokyo Station, take the Tohoku Shinkansen to Oyama, then board the Ryomo Line heading west to Ashikaga Flower Park Station. From there, it's a 3 minute walk to the park.

Beautiful spring flowers

Ashikaga City is right at the base of a mountain and is pleasantly sunny and cool for the start of cherry blossom season. The Spring Flower Festival starts based on the blooms, usually from late March through April. Visitors can enjoy a combination of tulips, snow willows and beautiful weeping cherry trees.
